Summary

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
What is neurodiversity?  Why is it important to have an awareness and understanding of what it means for a person to be neurodivergent?  What are common barriers for people who are neurodivergent in the workplace?  How can I advise my employer-client on best practices to support its employees who are neurodivergent?  How should I advise my employer-client on complying with disability laws for its employees who are neurodivergent?  What are common pitfalls for employers in working with employees who are neurodivergent, and how can employers avoid these pitfalls?

Please join the Diversity in the Profession Section, the Labor and Employment Law Section, and Marissa Ditkowsky, attorney and executive director of the National Disabled Legal Professionals Association, via Zoom on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT, for an overview of neurodiversity, how it can appear in the employment context, and what employers can do not only to comply with disability laws but also to support their employees who identify as neurodivergent.

SPEAKER:
Marissa Ditkowsky | National Disabled Legal Professionals Association
