PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
California’s SB 440 (Private Works Change Order Fair Payment Act) has fundamentally reshaped mediation requirements by introducing a new, structured process for claims involving contractors and subcontractors, and the implications are immediate. Complying with statutory timelines and procedural mandates is now a strategic necessity, not a formality.

Join us for a focused webinar designed for construction counsel. We’ll break down SB 440’s mediation framework, highlight risk areas, and discuss how early mediator selection can influence leverage and outcomes. We will discuss how this new mediation framework can be integrated with other dispute processes and how effective construction neutrals can be used effectively to assist parties reach efficient and effective resolution of disputes.

We’ll also introduce AAA’s California Featured Construction Mediators—experienced mediators prepared to manage these disputes under the new statutory landscape.
