This program will explain basic tax aspects of Section 1031 exchanges of real property. This program will address: how to structure a deferred exchange; intermediary issues; what is an exchange; 45 day and 180 day requirements; what is a single replacement property; parking transactions; what is real property for purposes of Section 1031. This program is intended to address the needs of tax attorneys, real estate attorneys, and attorneys in general practice.
