2013 Outstanding Jurist

LACBA has selected the Honorable Lee Smalley Edmon, immediate past Presiding Judge of Los Angeles Superior Court, as the recipient of its 2013 Outstanding Jurist Award. The award will be presented to Judge Edmon on Tuesday, May 21, during a luncheon at the Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles.

IMPORTANT COURT NEWS


To address a significant budget shortfall for the 2013-2014 Fiscal Year, the Los Angeles Superior Court will be reorganizing its operations by implementing a Court Consolidation Plan. Changes will be implemented in phases and continue through June 30, 2013. The documents linked below relate to these changes.

UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT

CENTRAL DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA

REDUCED SERVICE DAYS


In order to adjust to the sequester cuts in the Court's budget, the United States District Court, Central District of California, will furlough staff and reduce Court services on specific Fridays between April 26 through the end of August 2013 in all three of its divisions:

Western (Los Angeles)

Southern (Santa Ana) and

Eastern (Riverside).
